Steps for County
EC (please contact the SEC if you are interested in an
open DEC position)
- Complete
and send your application to your District EC (if there is no DEC in your district, send it to
the SEC)
- Have a local club
officer or an official of a local Served Agency
mail or email a letter of recommendation (if
there is no DEC in your district, send it to the
SEC)
- Interview with the
District or Section EC (informal)
- Provide documentation
of successful completion of ARECC level 1 course
OR within 6 months of appointment as EC, successfully
complete
ARECC level 1 OR within 6 months of appointment as EC, successfully
complete open book EC exam. The EC exam should be returned to the SEC
for grading. If the exam is not completed successfully, the DEC will
need to ensure the newly appointed EC understands the material on the EC
Exam and in the EC Manual to the DEC's satisfaction or the DEC shall
recommend to the SEC that the EC appointment be rescinded.
